The Lake Trip

We made a mad dash to the airport in July to get up to Bemidji, MN to Becker's Resort for a week long family vacation with the Grandparents and Peterson family.  We had a great time enjoying the beauty of the upper midwest but we brought the heat with us.  The only down side is that the humidity is so high we were just sweltering when we were not out on the lake.

The best thing about going up to the lake is the fishing.  Jeff won the annual rock bass tournament in the Hanson family.  But Keagan would have liked to try more fishing as he had his own fishing pole.  He didn't catch any fish in the cabin but he sure tried

Of course the food is always yummy and Keagan agrees.  He chowed down his fruit every day and thought he should share it was so delicious.  Unfortunately Hannah ( our dog ) was not there to clean up his mess.  The things you learn that are invaluable when you leave home...

Not only did Keagan enjoy the food but he enjoyed the company present at the lake as well.   He always seemed to have a smile on his face and loved playing with his cousins Lillian and Cooper.
What is not to smile about?  Mom gave me another funny hair do!
When we weren't out fishing we were watching the wildlife.  Our favorites from this trip are the loons and bald eagles.  Keagan was unfortunately sleeping when we came upon the loons and their loud calls on the water woke him up.  He was one scared kid when he woke up but quickly he seemed to adjust and was looking for those loud birds!

On a final note, Keagan had been practicing his "fish face" for just this occasion.  We are so proud of our little man for having such funny faces for us to laugh at :)
