Happy Keagan |

Whoa!!! Was that just Keagan whizzing by in his walker? Slam, Slam... Is he opening all the drawers in the kitchen again? Splish, Splash...Do I hear water splashing again? I keep thinking each stage of Keagan's life is the best one so far, but this stage just has me laughing. He has become lightening fast at crawling...can lift himself up onto just about anything and is contemplating walking. He hangs on to things and looks across to the next table, thinking do I need to get down and crawl or should I walk. So far he is being a little bit of a chicken and usually stays safe with the crawling, but he is getting bolder by the day. He is starting to ditch the walker as it blocks him from some things he wants to get to. Instead we lift him out of the walker and he just climbs all over it. We think calling him "monkey" and feeding him bananas really has made him into a monkey. Maybe we should cut back....

No mom, I did not just get in trouble again! |
As I referred to earlier, Keagan is always getting into water of some sort now that he is mobile. Usually when we hear the splish splash he is knocking over the dog water bowl. It is still amazing to him every time when he plays with the water, it eventually comes out of the bowl and gets him all wet. Then the tears start. We are not sure if he is crying because he is wet or that all the water is on the ground and he can't play with it anymore. So needless to say, we hide the water bowls away from Keagan as much as we can and still let Hannah be able to get to it. At least the cats can jump up to get away from those little fingers. Poor Hannah :(

Should I walk...or crawl? |

Look Mom, I can move the train, push button AND it opens up. |
One benefit to his fascination with water is that it has been relatively easy to teach him how to wash his hands. This is a great skill to have as he is constantly getting dirty and picking up everything. He also loves baths. So I guess it isn't bad... We just need to go to the store to get those tricky toilet seat holders to keep THAT water away from his hands :)
